Course Overview

An Introduction to CBRNe Threats – This course provides participants with an introduction to risks and threats concerning CBRNe, HAZMAT incidents and events. We provide information, knowledge, and skills to analyse CBRNe/HazMat incidents to build the participants competencies and capabilities.

CBRN Academy has designed the course in collaboration with CBRN Gate, University of Rome Tor Vergata, supporting the CBRN Master’s studies to provide a comprehensive overview of the different approaches to managing, predicting, and preventing CBRN and HazMat incidents. We will focus on first responders’ roles, responsibilities, and competencies in such events, providing international best practices and responses to critical and emerging incidents. We introduce participants to the Civilian and Military reference frameworks and familiarise people with operational and tactical responses.

This course is ideal for persons entering the field of CBRN and, ideally, be taken before the operational on-site training courses.
