Course Overview
Evaluation and the Impact of Training Courses – CBRN Academy has designed this 5-day course for professionals who work in the profession of learning and development, charged with the responsibility of designing training courses that will be effective, engaging and, as a result, will contribute to the organisation Mission, Vision and Values.
CBRN Academy has long recognised the undeniable concept that “training is of little or no value if what is learnt by the participants is not transferred to the workplace and contributes to organisational goals”. To this end, participants will focus on the elements of Instructional Systems Design. Participants will learn about training needs analysis, course design and development, course implementation and course evaluation.
Course participants will develop a new realisation that training evaluation extends well beyond the classroom and must include the impact of the training delivery when participants return to the workplace and contribute to the Organisation Mission, Vision and Values? This course delivers the knowledge, understanding, and skill to evaluate training and ensure the training positively impacts the participants. Further, the course will instil a change in attitude for practitioners in the workplace.
CBRN Academy research shows that many ‘Experts’ involved in training delivery have never received formal training in instructional design. Many Organisations rarely go beyond a participant feedback exercise at the end of a training course, and that 78% of all Organisations carry out this Participant Reaction only. Therefore, the actual impact of Instructional Design is not often considered. This course will close that gap by ensuring that SME’s can share their knowledge with participants in the training environment in an effective manner.
