Who exactly is this course designed for?

This course is designed for any healthcare professional who may need to respond to a CBRN incident in a clinical or hospital setting. This includes emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, hospital administrators, lab technicians, infection control officers, pharmacists, and safety officers. No specialist CBRN background is required to attend.

Will I receive a formal certificate upon completion?

Yes. All participants who meet the attendance requirement (90%+) and pass the knowledge assessment (70% pass mark) will receive a Certificate of Completion in CBRN Basic Awareness for Healthcare Professionals. This certificate is issued by CBRN Academy International and is widely recognized. A digital version is issued immediately and a hardcopy can be requested.

Is prior CBRN experience required to attend?

No prior CBRN knowledge is required. This is a foundation-level awareness course specifically designed to be accessible to healthcare professionals who have had no previous formal CBRN training. A basic healthcare or clinical background is helpful but the course is self-contained. Participants with existing CBRN knowledge may find it a useful refresher.

Can this course be delivered onsite at our hospital or facility?

Absolutely. Onsite delivery is one of our most popular formats. Our instructors travel to your facility to deliver the training in your environment. This allows us to contextualize the tabletop scenario to your specific setting, which significantly increases learning value. Onsite delivery is available for groups of 8 or more participants. How long is the certificate valid, and is a refresher available?

The certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of issue. A 1-day refresher course (CBRNA-HCP-101R) is available for renewal and includes updated scenario exercises and any curriculum changes reflecting current threat landscapes. Alumni receive a discounted rate on the refresher course.
